Founders
NextEng, founded by two women entrepreneur Sunita Jain and Rashmi Sharma, was created during COVID time with a goal of maximum utilisation of remote working while able to utilise the services of highly experienced experts for design and engineering services. NextEng business model is built on Delivering Quality Engineering Services with Value.

Lakshmi Vaideeswaran
Dr Lakshmi brings with her over thirty years of work experience across organisations such as Engineers India Limited (EIL), GE Plastics, Aspentech, Dow Chemical, SABIC and Gyan Data. Her core strength is technology development and commercialisation. She was part of the team that developed solvent extraction technologies for the oil refining sector and one of her patent won EIL the best technology award from CSIR. Besides basic and detailed engineering design experience, she has also done plant revamp and successfully implemented energy optimization projects for gas separation clients.
She implemented expert systems-based AI systems for GE Plastics in 2003 and headed the Innovative Plastics R&D division at SABIC. Lakshmi was part of the Manufacturing and Engineering leadership responsible for core process expertise in Fluid Mechanics &; Mixing and Reaction Engineering areas. She also led a team of subject matter experts from across the world that were aligned to Process Engineering.
Her last stint was as the CEO of Gyan Data, a Data Science start up in Chennai. Lakshmi brings leadership in both technology and organisation domains and has a successful track record of delivering across Manufacturing / Data Science projects in geographies across the world. She received her bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Anna University, Madras and Ph.D. from University of Manchester, UK. Lakshmi is also founding Director of NextEnjinia Private Limited , a company based in Chennai, India and subsidiary of NextEng Limited.
Navin Mittal
Navin has over 36 years of experience in the area of extractive metallurgy. His core strength is technology development for extracting metals from lean and secondary resources. He has successfully developed and commercialized technologies for various base and refractory metals including nickel, cobalt, manganese, molybdenum and vanadium.
Navin has held various positions across organizations such as Hindalco Industries, Engineers India Ltd, Rubamin Pvt Ltd and SGS, Canada.
He has held various senior positions such as CTO and COO. His last stint was as the Project Manager at SGS Canada. Navin has led the teams that developed niche technologies like Zeolite-A, Column Flotation, Solvent Extraction of cobalt, Electrolytic Manganese Metal from low grade manganese ore, Vanadium pentoxide suited for redox flow battery applications and molybdenum compounds from spent hydro-processing unit catalysts. He has recently completed a technology development project for extraction of metals from spent lithium-ion batteries.
Navin is a founder of Hydromet Technology Solutions Pvt Ltd which provides niche technology in the area of extractive metallurgy. He provides leadership and maintains technical excellence within the organization.
Naveen received his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Degree from National Institute of Technology, Srinagar, India.
Adish Jain
Adish has over 34 years of experience in process design and engineering across a broad range of process industries including oil and gas processing, refineries, chemicals, metal extraction and has worked on process technology development, conceptual studies, feasibility studies, front end design and engineering of commercial scale plants. He has led teams to carry out test runs in operating units for performance guarantees and establishing bottlenecks.
Adish is a Chartered Engineer and elected Fellow of Institution of Chemical Engineering (IChemE), UK. He received his Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
Sandeep Sharma
Sandeep has over 30 years of mechanical engineering experience in the design,
engineering, testing, commissioning and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and
equipment packages. His experience includes project management consultancy,
front end engineering design, process design packages and engineering procurement & construction projects for olefins, upstream oil & gas, LNG, refineries,
petrochemicals and metal and mining projects.
Sakshi Jain
Sakshi has over 5 years’ experience in Industrial Gases and Oil & Gas industries as a Chemical Process & Safety Engineer. She has led Hazard & Operability Studies (HAZOP) and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) for multiple projects and with Upper Tier COMAH sites and conducted Occupied Building Risk Assessment (OBRA).
She is experienced in consequence modeling using the DNV PHAST Software for dispersion, thermal radiation, toxicity and explosion scenarios. In addition to the above roles, she has acted as safety auditor for upper and lower tier COMAH sites. She regularly interacts with external agencies such as Environment Agency (EA) and Health & Safety Executive (HSE) on behalf of her company. Sakshi received her Master’s in Chemical Engineering from University of Surrey in 2015.
